To further promote her most recent album “Epiphany”, Chrisette Michele hit the stage at a packed 930 Club, performing the new stuff, as well as the favorites from her “I Am” album. “Blame it on Me”, “Notebook”, “Fragile”, “Epiphany”, “Porcelain Doll”, and “What You Do” are my favorite tracks on Epiphany, and I was pleased to hear some of them live..
At a point in the show, she kicked off her shoes and did a little dance to spiced-up version of “Love is You” using the sway of her hips to determine which side of the crowd was screaming the loudest, mixed with a little scatting. I absolutely love it when she scats. Love it. Love it. Love it.
The overall energy was amazing. This was a hell of a show.
